Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Therapeutic Equine Riding Center located in southeastern Ohio. Our mission is: Empowering individuals with diverse challenges through unique equine-assisted therapeutic experiences.
Breaking Free TRC has been in operation since 2008 and A Premier Accredited Center with PATH International since 2013. We offer several programs in a safe supportive environment. As a non-profit organization, and on Ohio Charity, Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center exists through the efforts of volunteers, donations, fundraisers, and sponsors.

Courtney Blaney has been working with horses since she rescued her own mare at the age of 12 and has had a special connection to them ever since. She started volunteering at Breaking Free in 2013 as a horse feeder. She loves getting to know each horses' unique personality. She is also the volunteer coordinator and achieved her Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning certification in 2017 and her PATH Registered Riding Instructor in 2019. Sharing her passion for horses with the participants is a dream come true!

Jessica as a Ag teacher locally she has spent much time working with children and wished to connect her love for horses and kids into a ministry to do what she can for children that will benefit from equine assisted therapies.
Jessica came to Breaking Free ready to get very involved and help us fulfill our Mission work!
